Charles “Rick” Richard Plemmons, 67, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born on December 13, 1950 to Charles and Wanda (Graham) Plemmons in St. Louis, MO and was of the Baptist faith. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Rick served honorably in the United States Army. Rick was an avid motorcyclist, who enjoyed spending time outside with family and friends, and always loved to rock out to his favorite music. He loved to share his appreciation for loud rock music with those he loved the most and could appreciate it as much as he did. As much as he loved his people, he loved animals just the same. His kindness and acceptance to all who crossed his path will be missed.

Rick is survived by his mother, Wanda Plemmons-Bean of St. Charles, MO; three daughters, Amy (Richard) Young of Farmington, MO, Candace “Candie” (Tony) Fowler of Temple, TX, and Jony (Jon Cruz) Plemmons-Labrado of Killeen, TX; three sisters, Sandra Plemmons of Poplar Bluff, MO, Linda (Bryan) Brister of Saint Charles, MO, and Nancy Lee of Pocahontas, AR; his girlfriend of 37 ½ years, Darlene Reed of Poplar Bluff, MO; four grandchildren, Ashley Hacker, Jimmy Hacker, Eli Fowler and Jade Labrado and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Cathy DeRemer; and niece, Christa Brister.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 12:00 pm in Moore Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Garry Vester, officiating. Burial will take place in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
