Carole Ellen Bedell, 72, of Poplar Bluff, passed from this life on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.

She was born on February 3, 1946 to William and Irene (Boeving) Clarkson in Poplar Bluff, MO. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1963 and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from The University of Southern Mississippi. After college she began her teaching career at Twin Rivers High School as the girls physical education teacher. She retired as a kindergarten teacher from Agape Christian School after 21 years. Carole was passionately devoted to sharing the love of Jesus in the lives of the children that she taught.

Carole was a founding member of New Covenant Fellowship Church and committed her life to the ministry of others. She had a zest for life and displayed an overwhelming love for her sons and grandchildren.

Upon her college graduation she married Thomas B. Bedell and they had three sons, Andrew Bedell of Van Buren, MO, Matthew (Yvonne) Bedell of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Jeremy (Nina) Bedell of Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren, Eva Grace Bedell, Aden Bedell, Alex Bedell, Stella Carole Bedell, Mila Bedell, Lincoln Bedell; one sister, Judy Baldwin of Poplar Bluff, MO; and one brother, William “Billy Joe” (Karen) Clarkson of Poplar Bluff, MO; .

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tommy Clarkson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 5 – 8:00 pm at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. Burial will take place in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
