Alvin Dean Inman, 81, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
He was born on August 3, 1936 to Hugh and Ethel (Lindsey) Inman in Poplar Bluff. Alvin worked at Parkin-Lanning Glass Company in Poplar Bluff as a glass glazier for several years. On July 4, 1961 he married Ola Mae Wilson in Campbell, MO.
He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially gardening, fishing and hunting. He was also known for his love of dogs. After retirement, he enjoyed going to yard sales and reselling items at the local Sale Barn with his wife, where they interacted with close friends.
Alvin is survived by his loving spouse of 56 years, Ola Mae Inman of Poplar Bluff; two children, Alvin Dale (Kim) Inman of Springfield, MO and Connie Maurer of Washington, MO; one brother, Norman (Frances) Inman; four sisters, Dorothy McNeil, Shelby (Gary) Beardsley, Marcella (Art) Inman-Sievers, and Nellie (David) Sullivan; nine grandchildren, Nathan (Candis) Maurer, Clarissa (Steven) Hall, Anthony Maurer, Christy Maurer, Travis (Sara) Inman, Kendra (Justin) Brines, Deanna (Dave) Witte, Christopher (Jennifer) Inman, and Michael (Becky) Inman; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Inman; his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Delbert Inman, and two sisters, Ruth Choisser and Thelma Pyatt.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will take place in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
