The Moore Family

Andy and Mandy met during high school and married in Poplar Bluff in May of 2002. It immediately became a shared goal to open a funeral home in their home community. The Moore’s have two children, Jackson and Maclaren. The children are involved in several activities including Poplar Bluff Swim Team and both OSL and indoor soccer leagues. The Moore family are members of The First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. Andy is the son of Charlie and Jackie Moore of Poplar Bluff. Charlie is a retired Poplar Bluff and Twin Rivers School Systems principal and teacher. Jackie is a retired Neelyville R-IV kindergarten teacher. Andy’s brother, Chuck Moore and his wife Alyssa also reside in Poplar Bluff. Mandy is the daughter of Gary and Debra Parish of Neelyville. They are both employed by Neelyville R-IV Schools. Mandy’s sister, Elizabeth and husband Dr. Jared Beaird also reside in Poplar Bluff.

To accomplish their shared goal of returning to Butler County and serving the community they have always called home, in late 2013 they purchased 6 acres of land on PP Highway that eventually became the location of Moore Funeral Service. On February 23, 2015 Moore Funeral Service held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the achievement of the Moore’s opening their new funeral home. We are humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve Poplar Bluff, Butler County, and the surrounding area.

Beautiful facility, the thought and planning is incredible. Everything has been done possible to make one of the most gut wrenching chores as easy and accommodating as possible for the family. The owners seem to be very gracious and thoughtful people, which is so comforting for those who have lost a loved one.

Virginia Elder, grandmother, passed away the day before the Moore's grand opening. Andy went above and beyond to make our family a priority, and he performed the first funeral hours before opening to the public. He did this because that was our time of need, regardless of his already planned events. The Moore's are amazing people, the site is gorgeous and we highly recommend the facility.

I am very pleased with this funeral service. We had a terrible event handed to us and Andy Moore himself was so very helpful. He was compassionate and understanding. He made the horrible process so easy and we are thankful for that. Any of the arrangements he personally made the calls for us. You are in good hands with this business. Thank you Moore funeral services for all you have done.
